Expert Best Practices

Before the Session Begins

When you receive an order and confirm the booking, you'll find a 'Join video call' link under 'Location' within the order page. You'll also receive it by email in your confirmation message. Make sure you know where to find it before the session starts to avoid any delays.

Before the Session

  • Choose your environment: Select a quiet, distraction-free space (exceptions may apply depending on your service)
  • Test your equipment: Check your microphone and camera before the session begins. If you encounter problems, ensure your browser allows our platform access to camera and mic permissions. You can verify this in your browser settings under 'Privacy and Security' (or 'Confidentiality and Security')
  • Join on time: Punctuality shows professionalism and respect for your client's time

During the Session

  • You can record the session if the client agrees
  • Click on 'Show timer' to keep track of your session time
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy throughout
  • Confirm you've fully addressed the client's questions before ending the session
  • Download the chat if necessary (top right of the chat box)
  • Provide follow-up guidance or resources when appropriate

After the Session

This is entirely up to you—you can choose whether to continue answering clients' questions after the session ends. However, we strongly recommend that all message exchanges remain on ExpertEase. In the event of claims or disputes, only messages happening on the platform will be taken into consideration for resolution.
