Your Expert Profile Checklist: Turn Views Into Bookings
Your ExpertEase profile is your business card. Your offers are your online shop. A few tweaks can be the difference between a scroll-past and a booking.
Here's what to check before you go live:
1. Profile photo — A clear, professional photo where your face is visible. This is the first thing prospects see.
2. Profile biography — Keep it succinct. Mention only what's relevant to your client and your offers, not your whole career story.
3. Service title — Short, clear, and benefit-led. Use the words your ideal client would actually type into the search bar. Put yourself in their shoes.
4. Service description — Go deeper here: your methodology, testimonials, and why you (not just what you do). Don't be shy about selling yourself. This is your pitch. No testimonials yet? Reach out to 2-3 past clients this week and ask for a few lines. SEO matters too. Many clients find you through search, so use the terms they'd search for.
5. Your ideal client — Spell out who you help and their key characteristics. A clearer offer means fewer unsolicited requests from people you can't help and more of the right ones.
6. Qualifications — Add credentials specific to that offer. This removes doubt and builds instant trust.
7. Service photos — Different from your profile picture. This is what sells the offer. Eye-catching, professional images help clients visualize working with you. Avoid AI-generated images with text on them They're often hard to read and don't create the human connection we're going for.
8. Video — The step most experts skip. It doesn't need to be polished. Grab your phone, smile, and be exactly how you'd be on a client call. This is often what tips someone from "interested" to "booked."
9. Availability — Sync your calendar with Google Calendar and keep it current. An outdated calendar is one of the fastest ways to lose a warm inquiry.
10. Pricing — Keep your rate reasonable and in line with the market — check comparable offers on the platform to calibrate.
11. Get feedback — Share your profile in our WhatsApp group or ask a friend for a second pair of eyes. Outside perspective catches what you can't see.
12. Share it — Once you're happy with it, post your offer on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Bonus: sharing also supports fellow ExpertEase experts, lifting each other up is core to who we are.
